Pitman Tozer is one of our Founding Partners
We are a growing studio of energetic, engaged and curious architects. We co-create schemes, each with a distinctive identity, borne out of considered research into the social, cultural and environmental nature of a place.
Our approach is inclusive, collaborative and responsive. Our process is founded on a creative intelligence that balances imagination and pragmatism to design and deliver beautiful and inspiring places.
Established in 2002 by Tim Pitman and Luke Tozer, who along with a senior team continue to lead the studio’s expanding portfolio of projects for public and private clients. These range from large scale mixed-use regeneration projects to buildings for education and high-quality homes.
Luke Tozer speaks about why Pitman Tozer are supporting the charity:
“Our buildings strive to improve the city and the housing conditions for those in greatest need. We recognise that our designs, and the profession within which we work, should be representative of the communities that we design for. We are delighted to support the London Neighbourhood Scholarship Trust, to enable access to design education for those who would otherwise struggle to obtain it.
Architectural education must not become the preserve of the wealthy. As a profession we need to find ways to mitigate the pernicious expense of a long education. The London Neighbourhood Scholarship is a positive step to help. We look forward to working closely with the Trust to provide both finance and mentoring to give the candidates support to flourish.”
